The Film Czar is an Independent Entity and is concerned with making Northeast Ohio a better place to make movies. Alex is not part of the "Film Community," but a part of the Business community.
Funny story behind that one, but I am working on things. I'll continue with the TV series, helping people when I can and other plans yet to come. I was never one for groups anyway.
Got meetings to get ready for now.

I think I'm destined to be stuck with blondes. Laura was a blonde (but she was crazy- which was appealing for a while, then it was just crazy). Anyway, got some important meetings coming up and on that side, all is going well. Been thinking about my connections. I do have a nice set of connections since I quit hanging around certain people. Some people can be just, I don't know... It's just if you want to move up, you should be with people higher up than you are. First, you can learn a lot and second they have a different out look cause they have achieved a level of success.
Of course, this film stuff is just a job. There are other things in life and I don't take this as serious as some people think I do. I do do what I have to do to get the "job" done and if that means breaking away from people, then it means that. I was never part of a group anyway, so I don't see how one person not being with the group can be missed.
I picked my Film Czar title and some people got mad cause they think it means I am not part of their group. Well, I never was anyway so why get mad at someone for doing his own thing. I think every artist should go create their own way.
The funny thing is that people talk badly about people and they think they don't know or it doesn't get back to them. And honestly why would someone want to be part of a group that doesn't like them? I can be dumb at times, but I'm not that dumb.
Although honestly, I don't think they like themselves at times.
So, I just go and do my thing. I make my movies. I meet with the right people. I get some money to work on things. I get some press. Yadda yadda yadda. Like I said, it's just a job.
On to other things. I saw a great movie named Star Wreck on the web. http://www.starwreck.com It was made over 7 years by some guys in Finland. It's a very nice piece and entertaining as hell. I know they went through a lot to get it made. It's true that somethings do take longer than others, but they get done.
I got some important meetings to get to and an important part of my agenda was to get the Film Czar name out there first as mine. I'll fill you in on why later, but I knew people would get an attitude. My other Consigliere said, it's not the Message, it's the Messenger. If some other person named themselves Film Czar, it would be all "bright Lights" praise and wonderment, but then again, I have talked to a few of the "right" people and they are supportive. And that's the key, the "right people" being supportive.
So you know I can't think about other people. If it was up to them, they'd tell me to Stop doing anything! And I don't know, but how it is that being supportive.
Whew. Glad that is out, and through it all I did manage to get some key things done this week. I talked to a very COOOOL guy and I have to keep talking to him. He is one of the right people and very supportive. We need more people in town like that. I hope once I get some things squared away I can be supportive as well.

Odd things lately. I have a new Consgiliere. She's a blonde. We talk on business and a lot of things. It's been a few odd days. I have been learning that I have to be bold in this business and I really don't have time to waste with people. Raymond Chandler said "In Hollywood, you can die of encouragement." Well, "In Cleveland, you can starve from praise."
I can not complain. I have a few meetings with the RIGHT PEOPLE. I just have to finalize the proposal this week. And stay focused. I can't waste time with the Wrong People and while I still think helping people is important, some people have to save themselves.
