Crunch time here. Need to finish up the Edit for the show. Tim did a great job and is going to start on Dark #2 this week. I loaded 50GB of new DV AVI files for him to work on. Had a bit of a panic attack when I thought I had lost a tape. It was a reshoot of Scene 1, so I had it with the footage from Dark #1, so I didn't check those tapes. OK, I did. I wrote it on the cassette box and not the tape. Damn those small DV tapes. So now I have all the footage logged and listed on the tape box insert.
Thanks to a new "Producer," I have a 300 GB hard drive. And baby I need it. The DV AVI files are huge. 1 hour is about 13 GBs.
Need to add a few sponsors to Episode One like Yesterday. The Business side of things certainly domanites everything. At this stage, it seems to be more important than the art. Well, things are OK, so far. No one is exactly telling me HOW to do the show. The sponsors are just concerned with the show being on the air. All they want and all they paid for is exposure. Which is a good deal for them and a good one for me.
I love my sponsors. Could use more, of course, I don't have that Big Money sponsor.. yet.
I was talking to a sound person and they said how do you decide how to go with a scene. You can always make something better. True, I said, but when you have a deadline, you just have to pick something and go with it.
And speaking of deadlines, I have to get back to work.
On a personal aside: there is some private video footage I had to edit out before I gave over to the Editor. Some stuff should be kept private as Colin Farrell will tell you
