Got a noon meeting with people about helping out with the production. Someone told me I should delegate more. And I admit, I should. Yet, if I had some people I could trust I would. Sad that my level of trust is still the same as before, but... Well, I don't think anyone starts out not trusting people. Experience teaches you not to trust them. And I do have a few people I can rely on, I still don't have people I can hand stuff over to yet.

Yet, I am getting ready for a sponsor pitch, so I can hire some people I can hand stuff over to.

There is an event coming up soon. I was going to go for a moment, but I got the play coming up and also the sponsor pitch is muy importante, so I ain't going nowhere. If I am goignt o relax somewhere, I want it to be with people I can relax with.

Again people never fail to amaze me. Someone got upset at me for a decision I made and yet someone else they know shafted them for money and they don't seem to be upset with them. Now, that really surprises me. And another reason why I keep up walls with people. In doing the TV Show, I have to make decisions from time to time and I have to juggle egos of all the people involved. And of course I have money from people who are involved in the production. And so like any CEO, you have to keep your shareholders happy. While other people put in time, in this economy, you really have to value people who put in money. Now, I guess I can understand the person being upset, but I really can't understand why they are more upset with me than the person who shafted them out of the money.

It is an interesting observation. One I shall remind them of if it comes up again. Still, I can at least say my project is moving ahead. The other one is deceased. And it all comes down to the people in charge not making tough decisions. Sometimes you have to hurt people's feelings, but if you are in charge, you have to make sure everything is moving ahead and you weigh the tough decisions. Not everyone will be happy! Hell, sometimes I am not happy, but the "Enterprise" is still moving ahead.

I was looking at the "Temptations" movie. The leader of the group made a lot of tough decisions and at times got rid of people. It upset others, but someone had to keep things moving. Was everything he did, the right thing to do, probably not, but someone had to do it.

I can see things clearly now and later on, certain people will probably not be here. Yet, I am certain the show will go on.

I am still a nice guy. Again, I am cryptic about things because in life you have to have a personal side especially in this business. Something recently happened where I think I was "still a nice guy" cause I was thinking more about someone else than I was about me. She knows what I mean. So, it's nice to know I can still be a nice guy even though lately I am a little stressed out.

I do manage to get my "second" and third winds, so to speak.

I had a little fun at the party. I had "Charlie" on my arm most of the night. She is fun to be with and I was glad I could relax and still get the job done. THE PARTY/ SHOOT WENT VERY NICE.

We didn't have a ton of people, but we had a nice sized crowd and everyone was really pleasant and the PD and Julie did some press on it. The Velvet Dog brought some food, and Michael from Lucy's brought some sweets. It was a very good night. I have a pitch coming up to a Venture Association group for more sponsors. I feel very hopeful about it. We are on track and all.

I haven't taken a break although I have managed to take "mini breaks." My old consigliere suggested I take a week or two off. Hah. Maybe my mini breaks will equal that time, but really right now I can't take more than a few hours off at a time. There is still much work to do. "Miles to go before I sleep."

In fact, this is kind of a break for me. It is cathartic to write out what I feel. Even though I have to be very cryptic at times.

"All names are changed to protect the innocent."

Speaking of such, an interesting thing happened. An old old friend showed up. At one time, we were like brothers, yet when I saw him at the Party/Shoot, I... well, let's say if I never saw him again, I would be blessed. I guess that is one sign of "fame," people from your past come out of the woodwork. Well, they should stay there. He's called a few times. My number is out there. I have to be reachable for actors, sponsors (potential ones especially). Which unfortunately means I am reachable for old people who should stay buried in my past. But there was no incident and he left after a few minutes. No one except me knew him there. He definitely was out of place and I don't know what life he has lead lately but I want no part of that guy. He's the stereotypical nigger. Hate to use that word, but I can't think of any other that so aptly describes this guy.

Anyway, back to other things. I was really pleased with the party/ shoot. Still, there is a lot of work to do, but it is moving along.
