Got to get some sleep. Will be leaving here soon, but I have to return. It has been a good trip out here. Gave me a new perspective on things and a renewed passion for the movies. As Darcy said in "The Hot Rain," I've got to get out of Cleveland.

Met with the writer. She had a few changes for her page and some things she wants me to do, but she is pleased with it. Which is a good thing. Got the beta up and I am going to do a bit tomorrow and then continue when I get back into town with my DSL and my Rachael (my computer). Man, I miss my DSL. Having to get off the computer cause I can't tie up the phone line seems so archaic now.
My brother's friend, D, gave me some music too. I am goignt o use some for "Little Girl" and some for the site.
And I hope Denzel Washington doens't read this, but I saw Antwone Fisher just to see if my extra part was in there. I am there in the beginning for all of 3 seconds, but God, did that movie bite. As a story, it sounds intriguing, but it lacked drama and a few times I thought it was over and it wasn't.
I bought the DVD and I really want to take it back. If I had saw it in the theater, I would have put up with it, but still it is sad to say, but the evil people were the only people who brough conflict to the story. The lead was angry and fought, but he had been abused, so it was unstandable, but beyond that, he was a good person. Which I found hard to swallow.
It seemed like a "Lifetime" movie, but those havea bit more drama and conflict then this story did. According to the box office, it made about 22 million and it cost 12.5 (without marketing) so it probably just broke even. A lot of that box office was probably due to Denzel. Not that box office is a sign of a movie's success, but it does have an indication of it's audience appeal.
Still, I met Antwone and he seemed nice. Yet, he is one of those persons who will do well for himself and not others. There is no bitterness in that statement. Just that when I met him at the book signings at Cleveland, people would ask him for advice and he basically told them, you're on your own.
I don't think tht is a good way to be in this business, but it is a choice people make. Still I wish him the best. I am eager to see something else he writes that is not autobiographical.
I have heard of him selling other scripts, but I have yet to see his credit on another movie besides his story.
Oh well, can't focus on that. I have things to do.

Another good financial point is that I will be able to pay of some debts (I owe an actress from the Dark shoot) and I really have to edit that thing as well. Have to decide where to direct the company once I get back. I am still talking to people on some large scale investments, but talk is talk. It doesn't pay the bills.
I still have faith that by the end of the year (or sooner) Prelude2Cinema will have enough stuff in the market that we can take on a new venture. I miss the shooting days.
I still want to play my return differently and stay focused on what I have to do instead of getting involved in the Cleveland movie scene. Been there. Done that. I think a person grows if they break away from the crowd and venture out. At least that is the plan.

Interesting turn of events. For the good, this time. The sit-com writer I met has a management agency and she is paying me to do here website. Which is fun; since I love doing sites anyway. The cash will allow me to get my hard drives when I get back to Cleveland so I can edit "Little Girl" and "I Dare You to Kill Her." and since it is web design, I can do it from Cleveland. She gave me a lot of photos, so I have a lot of content and photos to go through. Which is good. Sometimes with a site, especially a new one, you don't have enough photos or content. Here I have a ton of it. So, while it will take a bit of a while to go through, it will make the site pretty cool.
My little niece is learning how to walk and God, does that girl have enery. She is tiny, but can crawl up a flight of stairs (17 stairs that go up about two stories) and not break a sweat. Then she makes a game of climbing up the last 10 stairs and back and forth again. Again she never seems to get tired.
Which gave me an ideal for a little children's character to create while I am here.
Well, I am on-line right now picking up things for the web design job. I already registered the name of the site. So, this little sojourn has turned out OK, so far.
Well, back to work.
On a side note: not exactly looking forward to returning to Cleveland. I feel I should be out here longer, but I will probably be back sooner than I expected. Should have some finances coming together where I will be able to travel soon.
Besides the website I have a few letters to write and a few more contacts to make. Since it is a paying gig, the website becomes top priority right now.
